About Golden pavilion:- Golden pavilion is a Zen Temple in the Northern Kyoto which has two top floors that is completely covered with Gold leaf. The temple was formally known as Rokuonji and is considered as the retirement villa of the Shogun which is Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. The Zen temple of the Rinzai sect after his death in 1408 become the inspiration and as according to his temple by the name Golden pavilion a Silver temple was built by Yoshimitsu’s Grandson. The Kinkakuji is one of the impressive structure that also built a large pond overlooking the temple and the only building left has been turned out to be a retirement complex. Kinkakuji or the Golden Pavilion is the Zen Temple in the Northern Kyoto where the top floors are completely covered in Gold leaf. The temple was the retirement villa of the Shogun, Ashikaga Yoshimutsu which became a Zen Temple and was formally known as Rokuonji with becoming the Zen temple for Rinzai sect after his death in 1408.
